About the DMM Chimera
The Chimera is DMM’s flagship lightweight clean nose carabiner with an incredibly high-end performance rating in a small lightweight package.
It features a deep rope basket which allows for smoother rope action whilst extra metal placed at the nose of the biner adds extra protection against accidental gate opening when the biner brushes against rock. Its offset wire evens out the load and also contributes to reducing the risk of gate opening.
The Chimera biners are constructed with an I-Beam construction to reduce weight while retaining a strength of 23kN when closed. Ideal for trad and alpine climbing, you will hardly feel the extra weight.
