About the Black Diamond Rocklock Screwgate
The Rocklock Screwgate is the largest belay and rappel locking carabiner in the Black Diamond catalogue, perfect for rappelling and building anchors.
Great as your go-to locking biner for belaying, the Rocklock Screwgate is now built with Hot Forging technology to optimise the distribution of metal so they can remove weight where it’s not needed and add material to enhance the biner’s durability. The biners are strong (24kN) and feature a redesigned curved spine for better handling and a square hinge to hold belay loops in place.
With a large surface for ropes to run through, putting one or more clove hitches on this device is going to be super easy and neat so really beneficial for trad and multi-pitch climbs. Carry a few of these with you on long climbs or stick to one for belaying.
